Bulgarian Bee Pollen
Bee K'onscious Bulgarian Bee Pollen is from the Batoshevo Village, Sevlievo, Bulgaria. This is a remote mountainous region not suitable for industrial farming but ideal for beekeeping! Batoshevo borders a national wildlife protected area and is densely forested. The honey and bee pollen collected here comes from the richest wild flora in Europe and contains no chemicals or pesticides.
Our Bee Pollen was collected by our beekeeper partner, Hristo Iliev, with the use of pollen traps, devices that fit over the entrance to a hive and contain openings just big enough for a returning forager to squeeze through. In the process of squeezing through the opening in the trap, the pollen carried on the hind legs of the bee are knocked off and falls through a screen into a drawer where it is collected by the beekeeper.
Our product pictures show the pollen traps from the hives where our pollen was harvested as well as a picture of the small village of Batoshevo, Bulgaria.
